Cubscout Day Camp 2008

So this was Josh's first time to attend a week long Cubscout day camp. I was lucky enough to get to volunteer the first day and check out some of the things the boys got to do as I served as a den leader with our good neighbor John. (AKA- Ben's dad)
It was fun to watch this group of 10- 7-9 year old boys work on things toward their wolf badges and observing boys just being boys. They got to learn how to cook, do archery, fishing, bb gun shooting, ultimate sports, water sports, first aid, snakes and the list goes on. It was an exhausting week for them as they were outside from 9am-5pm in the texas sun (98-101 degrees!) He loved it. His favorite was coming home and making grilled cheese sandwiches for everyone. I was pretty excited -one day off from making dinner- I'll take that any day!
