I hosted a baby shower for a good friend of mine and her sweetest new baby girl (#5-2 boys and now 3 girls just like my own family:) Love celebrating new babies at showers, especially when they're already here and we get to ooh and aaahh over them. sweet. I also love that it was right around Valentine's and that I had a good excuse to decorate and force myself to craft a little. I have a love/hate relationship with crafting you see....love to do it/ hate to find the time to do it. I also love that there are so many talented people out there willing to take their time to share their talents and post step by step instructions for craft impaired folks like myself.
Take those super cute pom poms I made by following my talented sis-in-law, Carrie's instructions. Thank you Carrie!!! Now I can use them in Lil's rooms! Or how about that dot garland idea I borrowed from a cousin-in-laws blog. So cute right?! And then there's tons of the cute decor you see pictured below, half of it provided from my other talented friend Kristen , who also made this blissful ganache cake (recipe found here) that I am still drooling over just typing about it...yummm.
SO, I've decided that my talent is being able to recognize, admire, appreciate,be inspired byand borrow others' natural talents. Thank you ladies for inspiring me with your talents and helping me pull off a successful shower!!!and now my house is ready for Valentine's day. double score!

Your decorations look great! I like to borrow other's creative ideas too. One of the many reasons I love blogs!
Your decorations are awesome! The whole house looks beautiful (as do you!). The spread looked delicious! It's so nice to have good friends!

I love the decor and all of that food made me super hungry. Looks awesome. Baby showers are always too much fun.
great write up! it was a fun party and you are an excellent hostess! i love how many fun ideas are out there in blogland!
so stinkin' cute! um, i don't believe you when you say you're not crafty. half the time i look at your blog, i think 'man, she does cute stuff. i wish i had that talent'. so, give yourself a little credit. half of what everyone else does, was taken from someone else too. the crafty part is that you take the time to DO it and make it look good. which you do. : )
