UNPLUGGED!!!!
We have no internet!!! It crashed about a week and a half ago... so we've been on this computer fast in our home until we can get it fixed. Let me tell you, my house is cleaner than it's ever been, I've played with my kids more , read my scriptures more, gone to bed early and have had extra (yes extra!!!) time to do things on my ongoing "to do" list. I'll admit that I've missed catching up on the blogs and it's been SO annoying not to be able to send a quick email to someone I need to contact, and I do NEED it for my church calling... but for the most part it's almost felt like a little vacation. So what have I learned?.. that I am a slave to my computer! I needed this forced upon fast! I've come up to Mike's office (which is where I am now) once to check email to make sure I haven't missed some important deadlines or some major events... but that's it! I feel so FREE!! I'm kind of hesistant to get it fixed, but we actually do need it for school projects, church stuff and to pay bills, and of course to keep up on the blogs :) I don't know how long it will take to get this fixed, and though we miss knowing what you've all been up to, I will enjoy being out of touch and "noise-free" while it last.

Computers do take up all of my "free" time, and Brady likes computeres just as much as I do! I think we are going to have to limit computer time like a lot of people limit tv time. Most people have to limit this stuff for their kids, we have to limit it for ourselves!
Isn't it amazing what we can learn about ourselves -- when given a little challenge. I'm happy for you that you've been so productive . . . maybe I need to crash MY internet!! Somehow I don't think that will be quite enough for me. Wish you were here to share some of that energy! Enjoy your "internet free" time . . . love you all (and Happy late Birthday to Zach!!!)
yes, i'm a slave to the computer too. that's nice that you've had free time. i'm starting to think i have a problem. do they have support groups for this type of thing?
it is so true that we get a little addicted to our technology. sad really. But I also spend all my free time on this dang thing too. i agree with everyone else, maybe we should limit ourselves.
A computer for me is like tv for other people. I spend maybe 3 hours a week watching television and like 40 on the computer! It's kinda sad to see what you can do with your time when you don't have one. So I am sad and glad for you! Hope you are feeling well!
Maybe I should have a computer fast too. My house could handle a really good cleaning right now!
I can relate. That happened to me a few months ago. Hopefully though your computer will be up and running without too much trouble. And tell Josh happy birthday! What a great guy!
I know exactly what you are talking about!! My computer was out for a good couple of weeks. It was so annoying BUT I was able to get so much done AND more!!! Why can't I just limit myself to only getting on the computer once a day?? Maybe I'll try that this week... :)
I know a guy.
No, not a guy to fix your computer.
A guy to take care of that lame-o company you've been working with.
